Food & Drink
Having fertile agricultural land and being so close to the sea mean good food and drink are not difficult to find.
Romney Marsh’s artisan producers are winning awards and becoming well known for the quality of their food and beverages, exporting outside of Kent. This is thanks to the many local farmers who supply our producers, local shops and restaurants. Fresh produce, quality ale, wine, cheese, chocolates, olives, lamb and vegetables and of course fish, are all available locally.
Many of our historic pubs also offer accommodation so you have every reason to stay and experience it all. Find places to eat and drink in Romney Marsh on our interactive map.
It’s not a secret any more: great wines are produced in England, and there are some excellent vineyards in Romney Marsh. Some are open to day visitors; all are worth a purchase. Take time out and embark on your very own English vineyard trail or visit Chapel Down or Gusbourne online to find out more.
